Press Declaration of the Ministry of Higher Education on the Decision of UN Security Council Sanctions Committee on Alhaj Mawlawi Abdul Baqi “Haqani”, Acting Minister of Higher Education
Press Declaration of the Ministry of Higher Education on the Decision of UN Security Council Sanctions Committee on Alhaj Mawlawi Abdul Baqi “Haqani”, Acting Minister of Higher Education.
The decision, which is taken by the UN Security Council Sanctions Committee about the Acting Minister of Higher Education, is thoughtless action and against the International Law.
We condemn the decision because it is a kind of obvious disobedience and prejudice regarding the people of Afghanistan in their educational sector.
After the domination of Islamic Emirate, all the doors of universities and institutions (Governmental, Private) are open without prejudice.
It is the rule of an international law, so the Ministry of Higher Education pave the way for the people of Afghanistan to get education with their culture and belief and there is no any kind of reason to violate our educational system.
“Such decisions will only make the situation more critical,” Deputy Minister of Higher Education Lutfullah Khairkhwa told AFP.
For the last 10 months, the Ministry of Higher Education has conducted number of meetings with International Foundations whose results are full of achievements, and there is no single circumstance which causes restrictions on the leadership of Ministry of Higher Education.
Furthermore, at the Ministry of Higher Education, there is no a single cause that violates International Human Law, Human Rights and Academic Policies.
Finally, the Sanctions Committee’s decision does not have any legal side just increasing problems in higher education for the people of Afghanistan.
