A bilateral cooperation agreement signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock

The purpose of signing this agreement is to share research experiences and provide practical work opportunities for the students of educational institutions.
The signing ceremony of this agreement, which was held at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, was attended by the Acting Minister of Higher Education, Honorable Sheikh ul-Hadith Mawlavi Nida Mohammad Nadeem. He spoke about the importance and role of agriculture in the country and emphasized the need for cooperation between the two ministries.
“The Ministry of Higher Education will fully cooperate with the Ministry of Agriculture in accordance with the provisions of the agreement to the best possible extent,” he said. The honorable acting minister added that the Ministry of Higher Education will practically implement the academic subjects taught in educational institutions, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture. He emphasized that our students will carry out their practical work by utilizing the technical resources of this ministry.
Also, during the ceremony, the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Mawlavi Attaullah Omari, spoke about the existing capacities in Afghanistan's agriculture and livestock sectors. He said, “The people of Afghanistan are mostly engaged in agriculture and livestock, but despite their endeavors, they achieve little productivity because specialists have not been able to transfer the results of their research to the farmers.”
According to him, the Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the lecturers and specialists of the Ministry of Higher Education, can bring a positive change in this sector.
It should not be left untold that this agreement was signed in three chapters and eleven articles, aiming to maximize the use of the specialized and academic capacities of both parties. It focuses on conducting academic, research, educational activities, capacity building, and providing a skilled workforce committed to religious and national values and the development of the country.
