Senior Delegation from the Ministries of Higher Education and Education of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Discusses Expansion of Academic Cooperation with Deputy Minister of Education of Russia

Sheikh Zia-ur-Rahman Al-Aryoubi, the Deputy Minister for Academic Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education, and Mawlawi Sakhaullah Saeed, Deputy Minister of Education, along with their accompanying delegation, met with the Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. In the meeting, they discussed various aspects of academic cooperation and the signing of bilateral academic agreements.
During the meeting, both sides expressed interest in sharing experiences and discussed the signing of joint academic cooperation agreements, protocols, and memorandums of understanding between universities of Afghanistan and Russia.
The deputy minister of education of Russia stated that Russian universities have had previous agreements with Afghan universities. In response, Sheikh Zia-ur-Rahman Al-Aryoubi said, “It would be better to review these agreements to ensure they meet the current era’s demands and Afghanistan’s needs.”
It is worth mentioning that the Deputy Minister for Academic Affairs of the Ministry of Higher Education and his accompanying delegation had traveled to the Russian Federation a few days ago, upon official invitation, to participate in the Third International Forum of Ministers of Higher Education and Education held in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
